3D check (CFD)

The 3D check is a coarse lattice-Boltzmann LES (0.4 – 1.0 m cells, fans as actuator disks calibrated to their rated airflow, closed box unless openings are given). It shows how the fans interact with the walls, racks and each other — it is indicative, not a substitute for the manufacturer's layout or a detailed CFD study. Both models are steady, isothermal and without people, doors or process heat.
